This work was purchased by its current owner at the time of the exhibition "William McGregor Paxton 1869-1941" which travelled to the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the El Paso Museum of Art, the Joslyn Art Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts (Springfield, Massachusetts) between August 16, 1978–May 6, 1979. During the exhibitions, artworks from the estate of the artist were made available for sale, this one being included. In excellent condition, and presented in a fine 22K gold gilt frame with all correct archival framing material.
